Shindengen Debuts HBQ Series DC/DC Converters

Shindengen America Inc. (Camarillo, CA) introduced a new line of cost-effective, high-efficiency, high-reliability, isolated dc/dc converters for 48V telecom, networking and datacom applications. The 100W HBQ Series is in the industry-standard, quarter-brick format, and offers up to 91 percent efficiency and reliability.
The HBQ Series features up to 30A in output; an open-frame design so that a heatsink is not required; 5V, 3.3V, 1.8V and 1.5V outputs are available (5V/3.3V and 3.3V/3.5V dual outputs to follow); a low profile of 11mm; and 1,500V isolation.
The cost-effective HBQ is available now and pricing is $54 in quantities of 10,000.
