Schaefer Intros New C5800 Series Fuel Cell Converters

Schaefer Inc. (Ashland, MA) introduced its new C5800 Series of 12,000W, 6U/9U high, 19in, rack-compatible fuel cell converters, which are suitable for fuel cell power conversion, fuel cell manufacturing testing, vehicle installation, demonstration system and backup system applications.

The C5800 features an ultra-wide 3:1 input range, a minimum input of 70Vdc, a maximum input up to 210Vdc, nine standard dc-input voltage ranges from 10Vdc to 900Vdc, single outputs in 12 ranges from 4.5Vdc to 800Vdc, remote sensing, over-voltage protection, current limit protection on the output, efficiencies up to 90 percent, operating temperatures from -20 to +75 degrees C and -40 to +75 degrees C, and 6U x 28TE x 300mm package sizes.

The C5800 Series are priced from $5,280 each at 100 pieces. OEM quantity discounts are available. Delivery is 8 to 10 weeks ARO.
