Sanyo Releases New DC Cooling Fans With Large Airflow & High Static Pressure

January 02, 2008 by Jeff Shepard

Sanyo Denki Co., Ltd. announced that it has developed the 120mm square x 38mm thick dc cooling fan "San Ace 120" GV type for use in servers, storage systems, communication equipment, industrial equipment, and other applications. These fans have the PWM speed control function for external fan rotation speed control. Sanyo claims that the maximum airflow and static pressure are increased by approximately 64% and 167%, respectively.

During the high-speed rotation, the fan features the maximum air flow of 6.34m3/min, maximum static pressure of 360Pa, power consumption of 36W, rated speed of 6,400rpm and sound pressure level of 64dB(A).

During the low-speed rotation, it features the maximum air flow of 1.493/min, maximum static pressure of 19.8Pa, power consumption of 2.28W, rated speed of 1,500rpm and sound pressure level of 33dB(A). The operating voltage range is 10.2-13.8V, and the rated voltage is 12Vdc. The expected life is 40,000 hours.
