ReliOn Introduces T-1000(TM)and T-2000(TM) Hydrogen Fuel Cells

April 06, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

ReliOn, Inc. now offers the T-1000™ and T-2000™ hydrogen fuel cells designed specifically for communications backup power applications. The T-series uses ReliOn's patented Modular Cartridge Technology® for scalable hot-swappable high reliability and ease of maintenance.

The T-1000™ is a scalable hydrogen fuel cell capable of providing power architectures from under 600 Watts to 1,200 Watts. The T-2000™ provides up to 2,000 Watts and can be configured to work in combination for power requirements up to 12 kilowatts.

Building on ReliOn's modular cartridge architecture, the T-series offers modular electronics cards that allow both scalability and redundancy for higher reliability, as well as easy configuration to either 24 or 48 volt applications. The T-series products provide the back-up DC power required by telecommunications networks, while reducing or eliminating lead acid batteries, and providing a significantly increased service life and overall lower maintenance costs of back-up power systems.

"ReliOn has designed the T-series products based on customer input, with the goal of providing our customers the flexibility and reliability they need to design and implement backup power solutions for their networks," stated Joe Blanchard, Vice President of Product Line Management.

ReliOn has already shipped its first units of T-1000™ products to a major telecommunications network provider and is currently taking orders for both of the T-series products.
