New Products Mar 12, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

Power-Sonic Corp. has expanded its product line with the maintenance free, Power Guard series of sealed lead acid (VRLA) batteries. These new batteries are intended for use in telecommunications back-up power applications and in uninterruptible power supplies. Capacities rated at the 10-hr. rate range from 28 to 210Ah.

The AGM type group of 6 Volt and 12 Volt batteries are designed for a 10-year life in standby application and feature threaded copper insert terminals and heavy duty plates. All models have flame retardant cases and covers. The Power Guard VRLA batteries are targeted at applications that demand high-rate discharge.
