November 13, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

OPHIR RF (Los Angeles, CA) announced its new 5302055 2W, band-specific, amplifier that covers the 3.5GHz to 3.6GHz frequency range and is designed primarily for the point-to-multipoint, fixed wireless access market. The 5302055 is a small, lightweight, linear amplifier module with a minimum small-signal gain of 34dB and 1.5W of linear output power.

Running from a single dc voltage of 13V, and able to withstand input overdrive of +20dBm, the module features harmonics of -20dBc typical at 1.5W; an input/output impedance of 50 Ohms nominal; a dc input current of 800mA maximum; an RF input of +20dBm maximum; a weight of 0.5lbs maximum; dimensions of 3in x 2.2in x 0.6in; and an operating temperature from 0°C to +50°C.
