Noliac Offers 2 x 2 x 2mm Multilayer Piezo Actuator

Noliac (No Limit Application Company) announced the release of its 2 x 2 x 2mm multilayer piezo actuator, which is said to have 25% higher free stroke than competitive products, and is able to be stacked up to ten times. Displacement is 2.8µm and it is available for stacking, granting up to 21µm free stroke. This is said to be unique in the world of nanomotion.

Noliac’s single ceramic multilayer actuators, plates and rings, can be stacked. Thereby, the height can be made according to customer needs. Noliac’s stacking technology is said to also offer a unique manufacturing flexibility as any actuator height can be made from a defined number of single actuators. The Ceramic Multilayer Actuator Plate 12 (CMAP12) has very high stroke within very small dimensions.
