NIC Components Launches NCST-C Series of SMT Chip Resistors

This article highlights NIC Components NCST-C series of current sensing SMT chip resistors utilizing low-cost thick film construction.

NIC Components is pleased to introduce the NCST-C series of current sensing SMT chip resistors utilizing low-cost thick film construction. Supporting power ratings from 1/16W to 2W in industry-standard sizes; 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 2010, and 2512 case sizes. The resistance value range covers 1mΩ to 976mΩ in ±1% (F) and ±5% (J) tolerance with TCR of ±500ppm to ±1500ppm.

The NCST-C series has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +155°C (with derating above +70°C), is current sensing rated to 14.1A, meets the requirements of current sensing, current limiting, power conversion, point of load, op-amp, and amplifiers circuits. Potential end-use include industrial, networking equipment, storage, security & alarm, battery chargers, point-of-sale, commercial and appliance applications. NCST-C is RoHS compliant and meets the +260°C reflow requirements of IPC/JEDEC J‐STD‐020E.
