Next-Generation Three-Phase Bridge
The designers of industrial power supplies and frequency inverters are facing this issue: Industrial mains can have 600Vrms and even more, requiring the usage of 625Vrms varistors for input voltage surge protection. Such varistors have a clamping voltage of typically 1650V, making the industry standard 1600V input bridges working at or even over the limit. This challenge can be solved by using the next-generation three-phase bridge DBI25-18A by Diotec.
The 1800V VRRM of the DBI125-18A provides a comfortable safety margin, allowing for reliable operation of industrial power supplies and frequency inverters even in harsh electrical environments. The parts come with solderable leads for printed circuit board assembly, and can be either used free-standing or mounted with a single screw onto a heatsink. Thus it can be used for a wide range of input power, starting at about one kW and going up to above 10kW.
The DBI25-18A will be introduced to public in Europe the first time during PCIM 2016 in Nuremberg, at Diotec booth 9-517. Samples can be ordered now and will be shipped from May onwards.
