Murrelektronik GmbH (Germany) has developed a new bus system component that will make it easier to pinpoint any failure. The new MVK distribution box from Murrelektronik has LED indicators at all eight ports, reducing troubleshooting up to 87.5 percent. In case of failure, the affected cable is lit by the LED. Line breaks, short circuits, as well as defective sensors and actuators can quickly be recognized and pursued.
The diagnostics can be made without additional hardware and while production is running. The diagnostic data can be transmitted to a PLC display, reducing dead time and guaranteeing a high availability factor. The MVK can be mounted directly into the harsh machine environment through the pre-wired and tested cables in different lengths for power supply and bus connection.
The MVK product line consists of the Bus System PROFIBUS, INTERBUS, CANopen and DeviceNet in the D18, D08 and D14 D04 versions, as well as the DESINA module available with free configuring plug sockets.
