Murata Announces HPP RF Capacitor Series

March 26, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Murata Electronics North America Inc. (Smyrna, GA) announced the launch of its new high-performance RF power (HPP) capacitor series. The capacitors are suitable for use in medical imaging, RF power sources for thin-film deposition equipment (for semiconductor wafer processing), satellite communication systems, and military radio and radar equipment.

Based on new design and manufacturing processes, the new product line satisfies industry needs for RF power capacitors by expanding the capacitance ranges and voltage ratings with lower ESR and self-heating characteristics.

Pricing for the HPP Series is contingent upon capacitance tolerances, termination materials, leads configurations and, if necessary, lot screening and other defined-reliability testing. The standard lead-time is six to eight weeks.
