MGE UPS Intros New Models to Pulsar EX RT UPSs

MGE UPS Systems Inc. (Costa Mesa, CA), a leader in high-availability power solutions to the industrial, telecom and IT markets, expanded its new Pulsar EX RT family of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to include three new models in the 700 VA to 1,500 VA power range. IT professionals, managing application servers, VoIP, storage networks and high-density rack applications will benefit from the Pulsar EX RT’s digital quality power technology that provides pure on-line power protection in a compact 2U (3.5 in) form factor.

The modular 700 VA, 1,000 VA and 1,500 VA models complete the Pulsar EX RT family that now ranges from 700 VA to 3,200 VA. Complete with hot-swappable batteries, the Pulsar EX RT 700 VA, 1,000 VA, 1,500 VA, 2,200 VA and 3,200 VA models feature a versatile form factor suitable for use in free-standing tower or compact 2U rack configurations. The modular systems are easy to configure and include a number of standard features available only as options on other systems. All of the new models from 700 VA to 1,500 VA include a standard 15 A NEMA input plug and eight standard receptacles on the rear panel for easy connection of critical equipment.

Available options include additional battery packs or fuels cells (3,200 VA model only) for extended run time; a manual source transfer switch; and communications options for SNMP, enhanced web monitoring and NMS integration for HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli, NetView, CA Unicenter and others. Available now, the new models meet worldwide standards for safety and performance, including UL, TUV and CE. List prices start at $680 for the 700 VA system, complete with MGE’s Solution Pac power management software.
