Mean Well adds 18/25/36W AC-DC Green Medical Adaptors

After the launch of green medical adaptor GSM40A/60A (40/60W), MEAN WELL Enterprises Co. Ltd. has extended its offerings to lower-wattage models and introduced GSM18/25/36 (18/25/36W) series. Complying with international medical safety regulations (2*MOPP level), these models also possess low leakage current (≤50 µA), low no load power consumption (<0.1W), and 88% efficiency, which can fulfill the high quality demands of "patient contact" medical applications. The whole series complies with the latest energy-saving regulations (level V), such as ErP step 2 of European Union and EISA 2007 (Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007) of USA.

Featuring an 80- to 264-Vac universal input, the GSM18/25/36 series provide output voltage options from 5- to 48-Vdc. The three input plug options, including the 2-Pin USA plug (U-type), 2-Pin EU plug (E- type) and IEC320-C8 standard plug (B- type), meets the requirement of different regions. GSM18/25/36 are Class II power units (no F.G.) and enclosed by UL 94V-0 rated plastic case. Other standard functions include LED indicator, short circuit, overload, and over voltage protections.

In addition, these adaptors acquired global safety certificates per UL, CUL, TUL, CB, FCC and CE, including the home healthcare medical regulation IEC/EN60601-1-11, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1-11. Suitable applications include medical equipment requiring low leakage current, portable medical equipment, home healthcare equipment, and any electrical systems have low “no load power consumption” requirement.
