Lineage Power Introduces New Line of DC-DC Converters for OEM Applications

Lineage Power Corp. announced availability of its new family of ProLynx™ board mounted, dc-dc converter modules. The wide input design for distributed power architectures and intermediate bus voltage applications targets the aerospace, automotive, industrial, medical, military, and wireless communications industries.

The ProLynx line is the newest member of the TLynx™ series of modules, offering an industry-standard DOSA footprint and powerful Tunable Loop™ technology. With an extended input voltage range of 9 to 36Vdc and programmable output voltage of 3 to 18V, the ProLynx family is described as a cost-effective, "drop-in" alternative to discrete power design.

The first module to be available from the ProLynx family, the APXW005, can provide up to 45W of output power. The module offers a new AutoLimit™ feature to optimize power for the package size across a wide input range, reducing the need to oversize components. As part of the Lineage Power Total Efficiency™ architecture, the APXW005 boasts an efficiency of 96% at 28Vin, 18Vout with a rich set of features such as over-temperature and over-current protection. This non-isolated, point-of-load (POL) converter is tested and certified for continuous, full-load operation with no derating, in extreme environmental conditions up to 85°C and no air flow.

Lineage Power is the POL market leader, delivering over a million modules a month, and proven field reliability with a mean time between failure (MTBF) of up to 3 billion hours. Available within 30 days worldwide, the APXW005 starts under $10 per unit for OEM quantities.
