Intersil Intros Micro-Lead RS-232 Serial Transceivers

Intersil Corp. (Irvine, CA) announced the RS-232 serial port transceivers, which are 3Tx/5Rx transceivers designed to provide compact, low-power, high-speed, serial data ports for PDAs, hand-held appliances, notebook PCs and other battery-powered devices.

The new ISL4241EIR, ISL4243EIR, ISL4244EIR and ISL4245EIR ICs join Intersil's LINEARLINK family of serial transceivers. The RS-232 serial port transceivers feature three drivers and five receivers (3Tx/5Rx); a 2.7V to 5.5V supply range; ESD protection for all RS-232 I/O pins and rated to ±15kV; 10nA of powered-down current; a 32-pad, 5mm x 5mm MLFP package; an industrial temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C; and meet all of the EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 specifications, even at 3V.

The ISL4241EIR is priced at $2.86, the ISL4243EIR is priced at $2.86, the ISL4244EIR is priced at $3.48 and the ISL4245EIR is priced at $3.48. All transceivers are available now.
