Bel Power Solutions now offers the utility interactive bi-directional inverter charger 350INVCHGT150-120-240-8G with a grid-tie feature. This unique feature enables to export any excess power to the utility grid during the day, opting to charge electric vehicles at night, during off-peak hours at cheaper rates which proves very cost-effective.

The Bel Power Solutions 350INVCHGT150-120-240-8G is a 15kW bi-directional inverter charger that converts ac to dc voltages in charge mode or converts dc voltages to pure sine wave ac. The liquid cooled inverter charger operates at 250- to 435-Vdc and 120/240 Vac (60 Hz) split-phase. The unit is capable of working in utility interactive mode, charge mode or standalone mode to maximize its performance.

In standalone mode the 350INVCHGT150-120-240-8G is able to provide 200% of rated output power (30kW) during 10 seconds, which is suitable for a motor load spin-up.

Features include full galvanic isolation between the input and output, very high efficiency, high reliability, low total harmonic distortion (ac), low output voltage noise (dc) and excellent dynamic response to load input changes.

J1939 compliant CAN bus communication is available to command, monitor and provide diagnostic information. The output voltage is fully protected against over-temperature, overvoltage and overcurrent situations. Storage / normal operation temperature range of the device is from -40 to +85 degrees C with no derating on the output power between -40 to +60 degrees C.

SAE 1455 compliant, the grid-tie version unit is also fully compliant to UL1741 / IEEE1547, meets the conducted and radiated EMI requirements of EN55022 and is IP65 and IP67 rated. Optionally, a mating connector kit including or excluding a 3 meters long high voltage cable can be provided.
