Glary Power Technology (Taichung, Taiwan)

unveils its new UQ48120N20F-21 ultra-high-power, quarter-brick converter with Sink-Plate technology that enhances its derating performance. With a maximum 250 W of delivered power and 91 percent conversion efficiency, the UQ48120N20F-21 module was designed by applying patented buck-reset topology with a single-board, single-component side structure and deep-trenched, Sink-Plate for high efficiency, high power density, hot spots free inside the module, and a high thermal performance.

The module was designed to meet the high-power density requirements of the Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture. It is can support multiple VRM/POL for multiple processor systems with high efficiency across the 36 V to 75 V input range. The output voltage can be modified to obtain 5.0 V, 3.3 V, 2.5 V, 1.8 V, and 1.5 V outputs for different intermediate bus voltage requirements. The Sink-Plate technology helps the module operate under extreme environmental conditions to deliver high power. It has an integrated heatsink with no need to mount it to any external cooling assemblies.

The module features a 2.0 kVdc isolation rating between primary to secondary that is designed to meet international safety standards, including EN60950 and CSA/UL60950, providing full protection functions such as over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, and input under-voltage lockout. It offers an output-voltage trim facility that enables the output to be adjusted between 90 and 110 percent of nominal.

Available now, the UQ48120N20F-21 module is priced at $72 each for 1,000 units. The typical lead time is four weeks.
