GAIA Converter S.A. (Merignac, France) announced its new MGDS-150 Series of 150W, synchronizable, industry-standard, half-brick package dc/dc converters designed for use in distributed power architecture where variable input-voltage and transient are prevalent making them suitable for transportation, railways or high-end industrial applications.
The new converters feature an ultra-wide unput of 5:1 at 9V to 45V and 16V to 80V; a high efficiency of 90 percent; a wide temperature range from -40 to +105 degrees C; galvanic isolation of 1,500Vdc; soft-start and an on/off function; over-voltage, over-temperature and current limitation protection; and a tolerance of ±l0.2mm.
