EM Microelectronic Unveils EM655X ICs

October 27, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

EM Microelectronic-Marin SA (Switzerland) introduced the EM655X family of supervisory ICs, which are available with 11 standard threshold voltages from 4.63V to 1.31V, suitable for monitoring supply voltage from 5V to 1.5V, with an accuracy of ±1.5 percent. Packaged in a three-pin to five-pin SOT23 or SC70 casing, the devices are suitable for use in microprocessor systems, microcontrollers and DSPs, portable and battery-powered equipment, modems, and automotive engine-control modules.

The EM6352 functions as a voltage detector, while the EM6353 is a power-on reset IC with a fixed reset timeout period of 25ms or 200ms. The EM6354 has an adjustable reset timeout period using an external capacitor, while the EM6325 has an input pin for manual reset function and a fixed reset timeout period of 200ms. The EM635X devices draw 2.9µA and are specified for operation over the -40 to +125 degrees C temperature range.

Pricing starts at $0.40 each in quantities of 1,000.
