Delta Expands E48SB Converter Series with 240 W Model

December 15, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Delta Electronics Inc. (Chungli, Taiwan), a leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, introduced the new 240 W E48SB eighth-brick-sized bus converter into its Delphi Series of board-mounted dc-dc power converters. The 240 W E48SB bus converter has been developed to support the intermediate bus architecture to power multiple downstream, non-isolated, point-of-load converters.

The E48SB single-output, nominal 48 V input, isolated bus converter provides up to 240 W of power, or 25 A of output current, in an industry-standard, eighth-brick footprint. The E48SB Series currently supports three output versions. The E48SB120 Series features an input voltage of 38 V to 55 V, and provides an unregulated output of 12 V at 20 A with an efficiency 96.3% at full load. The E48SB9R6 Series provides an unregulated output of 9.6 V at up to 25 A with an efficiency of 96.5% at full load. The E48SB8R0 Series provides an unregulated output of 8.0 V at up to 25 A.

Sample quantities of the Delphi E48SB converters are available now. In OEM quantities of 1,000 pieces, the 12 V/20 A unit price is $41. Standard lead-time is from stock to eight weeks, depending on the output and volume.
