DATEL Unveils BWR-5/3.3 Series DC/DC Converters
DATEL Inc. (Mansfield, MA) announced its new BWR-5/3.3, 30W Series of dual-output, 5V and 3.3V dc/dc converters, which offer affordable, total control over two independently regulated outputs.
The new series features a single pair of input pins (±Input) and a pair of outputs (+5Vout at up to 3A and +3.3Vout at up to 4.25A). Synchronous rectification delivers an 88 percent overall efficiency. High efficiency packs the full 30W of deliverable power into the standard, 2in x 2in x 0.5in plastic case traditionally reserved for 20W units. Additionally, the BWRs operate at full rated power from –40 to +65 degrees C ambient temperature and require no supplemental air flow.
The BWR-5/3.3 Series incorporate input pi filters, input over-voltage and under-voltage shutdown, output over-voltage protection, output current-limiting, and continuous short-circuit protection, as well as thermal shutdown.
The BWR-5/3.3, 30W Series power converters are aggressively priced at $68 each in singles and $42 each for 10,000-unit pieces. Additional quantity discounts are available for OEM's. Free sample/evaluation units for qualified OEMs and/or pre-production quantities up to 25 pieces are immediately available from stock. Production quantities require six to eight weeks.
