Crane Aerospace & Electronics Redesigns Interpoint Brand MHP270 DC-DC Converters
Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a business unit of Crane Co., has redesigned the Interpoint brand MHP270, a high voltage dc-dc converter to improve performance. The newly improved MHP270 dc-dc converters is available to order now with a short lead time of four weeks.
"To address the growing needs in the market we undertook the redesign of the MHP270 dc-dc converter focusing on improved dynamic response for parallel operation. The high input voltage of 270V, high power density, small size and low weight, are all important priorities for our customers," said Simon Abel, Director of Sales for Standard Power Solutions. "This product will perform exceptionally well in avionics, missiles and other applications that must focus on reduced size and weight."
The MHP270 dc-dc converter can be combined with Interpoint’s FME270 EMI filter to reduce reflected input ripple current in compliance with MIL-STD-461C. The input voltage range of 160 to 400Vdc meets the input voltage requirement of MIL-STD-704.
This 65W converter has improved dynamic response in parallel operation, increased capacitive loading and shorter lead times. The converter allows for improved response to capacitive load and will work with loads up to 5000µF without affecting dc performance. This capacitive load response also helps improve the reliability of the product under a wider range of conditions.
