Cherokee International LLC (Tustin, CA) announced the CAR rectifier system, including a rectifier, rack-mount shelf and controller. The CAR Series serves as a rectifier for float-charging battery applications or as a front-end for distributed power. The rectifier system is designed to work in conjunction with distributed power architectures used in datacom, wireless, semiconductor-fabrication and automated-test-equipment applications.
Available in a 3U shelf with 3,000W or 4,000W configurations at 24V or 48V outputs, the CAR rectifier system can provide up to 12,000W or 8,000W in an N+1 redundant configuration. The CAR Series provides up to 83A at 48V or 166A at 24V and operates at an input range of 180Vac to 264Vac. The 3,000W and 4,000W rectifiers measure 5in x 13in x 5in and 5in x 16in x 5in, respectively. The 3U shelves are available in 19in or 23in configurations.
The CAR Rectifier Series is available now with prices of $750 for 3,000W and $915 for 4,000W for 250-piece quantities.
