Central Semiconductor Unveils New PICOmini Devices

February 23, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Central Semiconductor Corp. (Hauppauge, NY) announced its new PICOmini™ family of surface-mount devices, which are the next-generation of smaller, higher-density, discrete semiconductors manufactured by Central. The PICOmini™ devices in the SOT-563 package boast the same small signal specifications as the larger SOT-363 or SOT-26 devices, but require less circuit board space.

The first devices to be released in this new family are the CMLT Series of small-signal transistors packaged in the SOT-563 package. The new devices include the CMLT2222A dual NPN transistors, the CMLT2907A dual PNP transistors, the CMLT2207 NPN and PNP transistors, the CMLT3904E dual NPN transistors, the CMLT3906E dual PNP transistors, the CMLT3946E NPN and PNP transistors, the CMLT5088E dual low-noise NPN transistors, the CMLT5087E dual low-noise PNP transistors, and the CMLT5078E low-noise NPN and PNP transistors.

The devices are available in bulk pack or 3,000 pieces on 7in tape and reel. Pricing starts at $0.14 each for 3,000 pieces on a 7in reel. Sample devices are available upon request directly from Central Semiconductor.
