Celestica Presents New HS04 DC/DC Converter

Celestica Inc. (Toronto, Ontario) announced the HHS04 isolation, half-brick, dc/dc converter, which is claimed to be the industry’s first power product that supports next-generation IP telephony and power-over-LAN applications compliant to the IEEE802.3af specification.

The HHS04 half brick meets the stringent low-noise and startup requirements as defined by the IEEE802.3af specifications for use in IP telephony and power-over-LAN applications. Available in a half-brick form factor of 2.40in x 2.28in x 0.43in, with a voltage range of 36V to 75V input and 52.5V output, the HHS04 isolation half brick delivers up to 200W of output power at 92% efficiency. With its next-generation, IEEE802.3af-compliant, open-frame design, the HHS04 allows for better thermal management of the product in the end system – decreasing component stress levels and providing increased reliability.
