Celestica Launches S100 and S150 Series of DC/DC Converters

Celestica Inc. (Toronto, Canada) announced the launch of its S100 and S150 Series dc/dc converters. The series provides a low voltage output (1.3V to 3.5V) at high currents, up to 15A. Celestica claims that their new SIP dc/dc converter was built with programmability, voltage accuracy, dynamic current response and package size requirements.

The S100 and S150 Series are designed to ensure an efficient and cost-effective alternative to discrete converters. It is also one of the few products that delivers 15A at 3.3V in a package size of 2.5" x 0.5" x 0.3". For customers who have traditionally created their own discrete dc/dc converters on their boards, Celestica claims that the SIP package saves valuable customer PCB real estate by providing a vertical-mount package that occupies only 0.75" square. The vertical-mount package is beneficial for applications with a 0.75" to 1.00" card-to-card pitch as is found in most communications and embedded systems.

The S100 and S150 Series are now available with pricing starting at under $20 for OEM quantities.
