C&D Technologies Debuts UHP-12/21-D48 DC Converter

C&D Technologies Inc. (Tucson, AZ) debuted its new UHP-12/21-D48 high current-density, regulated dc-dc converter, which is a single-output, isolated converter for distributed power architecture applications. The UHP-12/21-D48 is suitable for applications where a fully regulated 12 V output, with a telco 48 V supply (36 V to 75 V) is needed, or where a heatsink (optional baseplate for mounting a heatsink) is needed.

The UHP-12/21-D48 converter offers full power at high temperature (110 °C baseplate temperature) with 91 percent efficiency, delivers 12 V output at up to 21 A, and has an easy-to-use design with multiple I/O production features. The UHP-12/21-D48 also features a standard half-brick pin out, on/off control (positive or negative logic options), remote sense, trim, thermal protection/shutdown, 2,250 Vdc isolation (basic insulation system), and RoHS compliance. The UHP-12/21-D48 is also CE, UL/EN60950 safety approved.
