(Compton, CA) introduced its new PureAV Hybrid AVU1500 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with PureFilter technology, which is both a full-featured power conditioner and an advanced UPS that compensates for a temporary or total loss of power. The AVU1500 UPS safeguards the recordings and settings on your personal video recorder, satellite receiver, or any other home theater component that may need backup power. Combining PureAV's unique PureFilter technology with the power of a 1,500 VA, 1,000 W, battery-backup unit, the AVU1500 cleans, protects, distributes, and provides backup power to the entire system.

The AVU1500 features phase 4 PureFilter technology that isolates and eliminates ac line noise, a UPS that provides backup power to preserve system settings, automatic voltage regulation that maintains constant voltage by increasing low voltage and decreasing high voltage without the aid of the battery, and SmartStage Shutdown technology that shuts down the equipment in stages and prolongs the life of the hot-swappable battery.
