AVX Intros L0402 Series Thin-Film Inductors

AVX Corp. (Myrtle Beach, SC), a manufacturer of passive components, introduced a new thin-film inductor in the 0402 size, the L0402 Series, which offers high Q and tight tolerances with high current-handling capability as well as repeatability. With its land grid array (LGA) packaging and miniature size, the inductor provides both high-frequency performance and construction for automatic assembly in applications such as mobile communications, satellite television receivers, global positioning systems, vehicle location systems, wireless local-area networks, filters, and matching networks.

The LGA offers an inherent low profile, solderability, and heat dissipation, while allowing for self-alignment during reflow. The L0402 offers an inductance range of 0.82 nH to 6.8 nH.
