April 04, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

AVO International (Dallas, TX) announced its newest member of the Battery Impedance Test Equipment (BITE) family, the BIDDLE BITE 2P. Designed to determine the condition of lead-acid and NiCd batteries up to 7,000Ah, AVO claims that this latest BITE can quickly identify problems so that actions can be taken and downtime prevented.

Features of the new device include automatic pass/warning/fail calculations based on a user-entered baseline value, a reduced test time of less than 30 seconds, storage of more than 2,000 sets of readings in up to 300 tests, downloading and printer output.

BIDDLE BITEs provide testing without taking the battery system offline. They are suitable for use in battery service and testing companies, as well as within the telecommunications, industrial and utility markets. The BITE 2P joins the existing BITE family of CBITE, MBITE, and BITE 2.
