APT Intros New APT200GN60J/APT200GN60JDQ4 IGBTs

Advanced Power Technology Inc. (APT, Bend, OR) announced two new IGBT products, the APT200GN60J and APT200GN60JDQ4, which use the latest generation Field Stop Trench Gate Technology and are offered in the industry-standard SOT-227 package. The IGBTs are used in the output inverter of aluminum TIG welders. The device can also be used in any application requiring low conduction losses at high currents and 0 kHz to 30 kHz switching speed.

Key features include efficiency (low conduction loss), high current capacity, tight parameter distribution and positive temperature coefficient, wide forward safe operating area and reliable linear mode operation, a 10 µs short-circuit rating, and a short tail current due to field stop technology (operates up to 30 kHz hard-switched).
