AnalogicTech Intros AAT1150 DC/DC Converter
Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. (AnalogicTech, Sunnyvale, CA), a developer of innovative power management solutions, announced the AAT1150, a synchronous-buck, dc/dc converter, which delivers a 1A output current. Operating at a high 1MHz switching frequency and using synchronous rectification, the efficient, step-down, switching converter combines small size and low ripple current with full internal compensation to minimize requirements for external components.
The AAT1150 supports fixed inputs from 2.7V to 5V. Outputs are fixed or adjustable from 1V to 4.2V depending on options. The device features low on-resistance, 110 mOhm, MOSFET switches and efficiency up to 95%. The constant pulse-width modulated part is optimized for low ripple and the device's high stability supports the use of ceramic capacitors. A digital soft-start limits surge current during startup. The AAT1150 also features comprehensive current-limit and over-temperature protection circuits.
The AAT1150 is available immediately in a space-saving, eight-lead, MSOP package. The device is rated over the extended industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). The AAT1150 is priced at $1.75 for 1,000-piece quantities.
