Aimtron Presents AT1380 Series Regulator ICs

November 08, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Aimtron Technology Corp. (Taiwan) announced its new AT1380 Series single-channel, switching regulator ICs, which are designed for use in low-voltage applications, including power sources for battery-powered equipment, cameras, camcorders, and VCRs, as well as in PDAs and hand-held communications products.

The ICs feature a built-in error amplifier gain that minimizes peripheral components, and incorporates soft-start circuitry, time-latch short-circuit detection circuitry and totem-pole output with adjustable on/off current for NPN transistors. The ICs operate on voltages from 1.8V to 13V, with a typical current consumption of only 5.5mA. The chips consume only 1µA (maximum) on standby.

The regulator ICs are offered in eight-pin plastic SOL or TSSOP housings.
