Aimtron Offers AT1382 DC/DC Converter

February 11, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Aimtron Technology Corp. (Taiwan) introduced its new four-channel AT1382 dc/dc converter, which contains a comparator to generate low-battery warming outputs and a gain block that can be used with an external p-channel MOSFET, enabling the converter to be used as an LDO linear regulator.

The 48-pin LQFP device is designed for use in camcorders, CCD imaging devices and digital still cameras. It supports down and up/down synchronous Zeta conversion (channels 1 and 2), and features one-chip power on/off and stand-by functions. The 1MHz AT1382 operates from a start-up supply voltage of 12V (channel 4) and a side-supply voltage range of 1.5V to 10V (channel 4).
