GAPTEC Electronic presents the new 9S8W4_1.6RP series and claims the absolute top performance in a SIP8 housing. This most-recent dc-dc converter series offers outstanding performance and up to 89% efficiency. The 9S8W4_1.6RP series features a wide input range (4: 1) and offers single and dual outputs. In addition, the converters are equipped with short circuit protection and an insulation of 1600Vdc.
The operating temperature range is -40 to +85 degrees C. 3.3-Vdc output models deliver full rated power to 50 degrees C, all other models deliver full rated power to 60 degrees C. In all cases, the output rating derates linearly to zero at 85 degrees C.
These converters are built in copper package in an 8-pin SIP miniature compact case with high performance. They meet EN55032 for both radiated and conducted emissions. Standard input voltages are 24-Vdc (9- to 36-Vdc) and 48-Vdc (18- to 75-Vdc). These dc-dc converters are offered as single-output models (3.3-, 5-, 9-, 12-, 15-, and 24-Vdc) and dual-output models (±5Vdc, ±12Vdc and ±15Vdc).
This 9-Watts high-power converter offers output voltage accuracy (deviation) of max. 1% and is widely applicable. Devices are encapsulated using flame retardant resin. Applications are expected to include digital circuits, low-frequency analog systems, building automation systems or even control units. In addition, this series is RoHS compliant.
