1-5 Watt DC-DC Converters in Compact Cubical Package

Traco Power has added the TDN series of 1- to 5-Watt dc-dc converters. These fully regulated and 1500 Vdc isolated (input-to-output) dc-dc converters come in a cubical package that occupies only 1.2 cm² on the PCB. The models are available in surface-mount versions or with pins for trough hole mounting. The ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage ranges cover 4.5- to 18-Vdc, 9- to 36-Vdc and 18- to 75-Vdc.

The TDN 1WI Series comprises 1 Watt fully regulated, high performance dc-dc converters. They come in a compact cubical package of only 1.23 cm3. Full load operation is reliable up to 90 degrees C environment temperature. With 1500Vdc isolation voltage, external On/Off, and short current protection they cover a wide range of application when space is limited. The input of the converters is designed for a wide voltage range (4:1) and minimum load is not required.

The TDN 3WI series is a range of 3 Watt regulated dc-dc converters. They come in a very compact DIP package (0.52 x 0.36 x 040 inch). The TDN 3WISM Series comprises 3 Watt fully regulated, high performance dc-dc converters. They come in a compact cubical package of only 1.23 cm3. Full load operation is reliable up to 70 degrees C environment temperature. With 1500Vdc isolation voltage, external On/Off, and short current protection they cover a wide range of application when space is limited. The input of the converters is designed for a wide voltage range (4:1) and minimum load is not required.

The TDN 5WI Series redefines the power density of high performance dc-dc converters. The cubical package of only 1.23 cm3 encloses a sophisticated circuit which provides 5 Watt output power without any compromise regarding reliability and functionality. They operate up to 50 degrees C environment temperature at full load or up to 70 degrees C with a 50% load de-rating. With 1500Vdc isolation voltage, external On/Off and short current protection, they cover a wide range of application when space is limited. The input of the converters is designed for a wide voltage range (4:1) and minimum load is not required.
