Unipower Corp. announced the addition of John Heindel as CEO. Mr. Heindel is a seasoned senior executive with over 30-years experience in the global communications industry. Prior to joining Unipower, Mr. Heindel held a number of leadership positions in the solar, dc power and telecommunications industries.
From 2011 to 2012 Mr. Heindel held the position as Senior Advisor providing leadership and management support to GeoGenix, a solar industry systems integrator in the Northeast USA. From 2005 through 2010 he was the CEO and Chairman of the Board for PECO II, a provider of dc power solutions to the major North American telecommunications service providers. Over this period PECO II grew its product and services businesses by providing unmatched customer satisfaction. The business was sold to Lineage Power in 2010.
Prior to joining PECO II, Mr. Heindel spent 22 years at AT&T and Lucent Technologies. His leadership was marked by successful efforts in starting up Lucent Worldwide Services, which during his tenure was recognized as one of the industry's most valued network solutions integrators, and leading the operational units that built one of the largest telecommunications infrastructure projects ever in a single project – located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
