Enmetric Systems, Inc. announced today that the City of Salt Lake will use Enmetric's intelligent plug load management system to help monitor, control and manage plug-load devices in the city's new Public Safety Building — a $125 million, 175,480-square-foot LEED Platinum project that will house the Salt Lake City police and fire departments. The installation includes 750 of Enmetric's PowerPorts, representing 3,000 "intelligent" outlets.

“We are very pleased to add the City of Salt Lake to a growing list of blue chip customers. The real promise of Enmetric’s solution for the City of Salt Lake and other enterprise customers is to harness the power of connected devices and cloud-based data analytics to help save energy, improve operating efficiency and engage employees,” said Jake Masters, Founder and CEO of Enmetric. “With growing momentum, Enmetric’s platform now manages over 2 terabytes of data per month,” added Masters.

Enmetric provides Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial environments. The company’s core application, plug load management, built on a cloud-based data analytics platform, saves companies up to 20% in energy costs. Specifically, Enmetric’s platform provides real-time energy use data, automated control, measurement, and communication for individual electrical plug loads across the enterprise.

“We are pleased to be working with Enmetric, and are looking forward to using the powerful plug load visibility and control that their product provides,” said Chad Jones of MOCA Systems — project manager for the Public Safety Building.
