September 20, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Sirific Wireless Corp. (Santa Rosa, CA), an innovator of single-chip, multi-mode, direct conversion, CMOS RF transceivers for WWAN and WLAN, announced the opening of a new IC development center in Richardson, TX. The new opening allows Sirific to expand its chip development resources to meet growing market demand for its product roadmap of multi-mode WWAN/WLAN RF solutions. Sirific is extending its lead in the GSM/GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA and WLAN RF semiconductor market.

The team in Richardson shares over 70 years of experience in analog circuit design, RFIC and systems design, as well as DSP and digital circuit design at wireless semiconductor leaders such as Motorola, Texas Instruments, Ericsson and Philips. In the coming months, Sirific intends to increase its engineering investments at its Richardson site.
