RAF Tabtronics & MicroSpire Announce Technology Partnership For Magnetic Components

February 11, 2009 by Jeff Shepard

RAF Tabtronics LLC, a developer of advanced technologies for electromagnetic components headquartered in Florida, U.S.A. with manufacturing facilities in the western hemisphere and Asia, and MicroSpire S.A., specialists in high performance transformers and inductors for high-grade electronics headquartered in Paris France with manufacturing facilities in Europe, Africa and Asia, have announce a strategic technology partnership to address what they describe as the growing global demand for high-efficiency, high-reliability magnetic components and solutions.

The agreement grants RAF Tabtronics strategic rights to market and distribute MicroSpire’s complete line of high-grade commercial off-the-shelf transformers and inductors in North America. It also allows MicroSpire access to RAF Tabtronics’ patented Hyper-X Magnetic Technology ™, bringing ultra-high power density custom magnet component solutions to OEM’s in Europe.

"Most magnetic component companies today are unable to provide compelling innovative solutions to the customer’s need for smaller, lighter, more energy efficient magnetic components," said James Tabbi, President and COO of RAF Tabtronics. "Both MicroSpire and RAF Tabtronics have recognized the market’s shortcomings and have formed this partnership to provide everything from cost-effective standard products to highly customized solutions."

"Through this unique partnership between MicroSpire and RAF Tabtronics, customers are the key beneficiary for not having to compromise in their goal of cost-competitive high-efficiency power systems," said Christophe Malrin, President of MicroSpire. "The technology integration of these two best-in-class companies makes it possible for customers to truly meet all their competing goals."
