Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. (Irvine, CA), a designer, manufacturer and integrator of packaged fuel systems for hydrogen fuel cell and alternative fuel applications, reported results for its fiscal 2005 third quarter ended January 31, 2005.
For the third quarter of fiscal 2005, Quantum reported revenue of $5.4 million and a net loss of $2.9 million, or $0.09 per share. This compared to revenue of $4.4 million and a net loss of $3.1 million, or $0.10 per share, for the same period of fiscal 2004.
For the nine-month period ended January 31, 2005, revenue decreased $2.3 million, or 12%, from $19.0 million in the first nine months of fiscal year 2004 to $16.7 million in the same period of fiscal year 2005. For the nine-month period ended January 31, 2005, Quantum’s operating loss increased $2.2 million, or 31%, from $7.1 million in fiscal 2004 to $9.3 million in fiscal 2005.
