Pulizzi Engineering Receives US Patent for TPC 2562 Series AC Power Distributors

December 17, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Pulizzi Engineering (Santa Ana, CA) has been issued US patent number 6,137,706 for their recently-released TPC 2562 Series of ac power distribution that combines redundant input, under-voltage protection and ultra-fast switching between sources. The TPC 2562 Series was designed for use in critical systems and was used by NBC Studios within the sound systems at the 2000 Olympics in Australia.

The TPC 2562 is 1.75" high and 9.5" deep, and is a standard 19" rack mount. It was designed to meet the EN60950 third-edition safety requirements. Pulizzi claims that their design accomplishes both a high-speed transfer rate and meets the 3mm safety requirements for spacing between hazardous voltages and exposed metal. In quantities of one to nine, the unit costs $700, and volume discounts are available.
