Power Measurement EEM System Installed in Philippines

Power Measurement Ltd. (Victoria, BC, Canada) reported that Subic Enerzone Corp. (Manilla, Philippines) has installed an enterprise energy management system as part of an extensive upgrade of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone’s electrical distribution system. The new electrical distribution system is intended to provide residents and businesses in with a secure, reliable and affordable source of high-quality power.

Subic Enerzone’s rehabilitation project includes an upgrade of the Remy Field substation that supplies power throughout the Central Business District, the installation of an overhead transmission line covering the 4.5 km, and the replacement of dozens of outdated electricity meters. In their place, a network of advanced Power Measurement ION® 7350 and ION® 7600 intelligent energy meters will monitor key power quality and reliability factors throughout the region’s electrical distribution system, and report any areas of concern to engineering staff via the system’s ION Enterprise® energy management software.
