September 02, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Pi Technology (Milton, Cambridgeshire, UK), a developer of alternative fuel systems for nearly 10 years, including fuel cell vehicles, hybrid ICE-electric vehicles and natural gas applications, has formed a new business unit to concentrate on developing control systems technologies for the automotive alternative fuels market. The Alternative Fuels Business Unit already employs more than 40 people and will support new vehicle programs worldwide.

Adrian Carnie, head of the new business unit, stated, "We have seen our work in alternative fuels grow rapidly in the last few years. It now makes sense to create a separate team to concentrate on the specific needs of this sector of the industry. We have created a uniquely capable team with great depth and breadth of expertise."
