Pacific Fuel Cell Announces United States Patent

Pacific Fuel Cell Corp. (PFCE, Tustin, CA) announced that United States Patent 6,706,431 has been issued and assigned to Fullerene USA Inc., PFCE's parent company. Pacific Fuel Cell owns the worldwide rights (excluding Japan) to this patented proton-exchange membrane fuel cell technology. The company plans to create joint ventures to rapidly commercialize its technology.

George Suzuki, president of PFCE, stated, "While this is a milestone for Pacific Fuel Cell, it is important to realize that our research team has been working to advance the technology represented by this patent for the last two years, and we believe that significant additional progress has been achieved."
