Luso Expands Power Portfolio Beyond UK/Ireland Deal with SynQor; Adds Elec & Eltek European Franchise for Magnetic Components

Luso Electronics Distribution has won a European distribution franchise for Elec & Eltek, the manufacturer of magnetic components. The deal, the second since Luso Electronics Distribution was established in May 2011 as a division within London-based Luso Electronics, adds transformers, noise filters and common mode chokes to Luso’s offering. The product line includes filtered connectors and power-over-Ethernet connectors plus Elec & Eltek magnetics that are specified on reference designs for wireless charging circuits designed for use with consumer electronic products.

Luso’s Managing Director, David Zelkha, said, "The addition of the Elec & Eltek line expands our offering from just power supplies to power components. We know the product line very well from previous experience. Elec & Eltek components are compact, high-performance products that are very competitively priced and we look forward to helping the company grow its market share by providing expert technical and commercial support to customers."

The company’s first franchise, an exclusive UK and Ireland agreement to distribute SynQor’s dc-dc and ac-dc power supplies, was announced in June 2011.
