June 20, 2012 by Jeff Shepard

German inverter manufacturer KACO new energy announced that it has secured a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samsung SDI.

According to the companies, the key items of this MoU are to support each other in defining optimized energy storage systems. Mainly, KACO intends to pursue storage systems in both the private and industrial sectors. Samsung SDI has command over the whole process chain from manufacturing of the storage cells right up to the integration in a complete battery system, including battery management. Thanks to Samsungs involvement with other large scale customers, KACO states that the Korean company will reach the quantities which are necessary to drive prices down successfully.
