IXYS Corp. (Santa Clara, CA), a leader in power semiconductors for power conversion and motion control applications, announced that Uzi Sasson has been elected a director of the company. Sasson is the chief executive officer of Sagent Management, a tax and accounting consulting firm, which he founded in January 2004. Sasson has also served as the interim chief financial officer for Digital Power Corp. since June 2004.
"We are pleased to have Sasson join our board of directors, and add financial expertise to our team, in accordance with the new regulations for public companies. This is one of the actions we are taking to strengthen our financial organization in IXYS, in light of our continued growth," stated Chairman of the Board and CEO Nathan Zommer.
