International Rectifier Corp. (IR, El Segundo, CA) opened a new design facility in Pavia, Italy. The new design center will perform research and development for advanced high-performance, high-voltage motor-drive integrated circuit sets for industrial applications, including industrial motor and servo drives and uninterruptible power supplies.
Michele Giammarino, IR vice president, high-power products, stated, "The new International Rectifier Design Center is an ideal environment for the development of advanced, high-voltage power-management products."
