Intersil Launches iSim Model for ISL6566 PWM Controller

November 22, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Intersil Corp. (Milpitas, CA) launched a new iSim simulation model for its ISL6566 three-phase, pulse-width modulated (PWM) buck controller with integrated MOSFET drivers for VRM9, VRM10, and AMD hammer applications. The ISL6566 is suitable for computer motherboards, desktops and workstations, entry-level servers, industrial PCs/single-board computers, voltage regulator modules, and NAS/SAN systems boards using Intel and AMD central processing units.

The model for the ISL6566 one-phase iSim, the ISL6566 two-phase iSim, and the ISL6566 three-phase iSim are now available; bringing the number of models on the iSim tool to 54. iSim is an applications-based simulator that features Intersil Power Management devices in a complete virtual design. The iSim tool features the Intersil Power Management Solution Selector, with dynamic input fields to match input and output requirements. Options include DDR, VID, isolated and non-isolated, VRM-specs, and more. A reference schematic will be generated based on selections.
